Hayter’s Farm is a family-owned turkey farm in Dashwood, Ontario that has been operating for 75 years with over 150 team members from across the Globe. Families have come to know and love our turkey products thanks to partnerships with major retailers like Farm Boy, Longo’s, and Hello Fresh. We are the only Federal establishment in Canada to raise, process, package, and retail all in one location. Managing the entire process allows us to adapt, implement change, and create the best product.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate packaging and labeling equipment as well as maintain and problem solve any technical concerns
- Program the machinery to change the speed and weights in which it operates
- Work in a team environment, rotating to a variety of tasks (all in 4 degrees Celsius, we need to keep our turkey cold!)
- Perform repetitive movements and lift product between 5 – 30lb, while standing
- Inspect product and packaging for any deficiencies to ensure product is shelf ready
- Learn proper health and safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience working in Manufacturing an asset
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act as asset
- Effective communication skills with a team-focused attitude
***Previous experience operating production or packaging machinery is preferred for this role. Training provided as long as you have a keen eye for detail. You will need a mechanical aptitude to be successful.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday from 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. This schedule is subject to change due to production demands and emergencies.
